YAKKUM Emergency Unit (YEU) with the Community-led Innovation Partnership (CLIP) project was selected to showcase community-based inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) innovations in the Innovation Platform at the Global Platform Disaster Risk Reduction event held in Bali, 23-27 May 2022. Parallel to this activity, local innovator IDEAKSI also presented their innovations in the Indonesian Resilience House. In this event, YEU together with Local Innovators echoed the importance of building resilience in all aspects of disaster management and involving groups with disabilities and other groups in all aspects of DRR.

 

The Booth of Innovation Platform features 9 (nine) innovations from IDEAKSI Local Innovators, such as the inclusive digital application DIFAGANA and Lingkar, the inclusive website of FPRB GK, CIQAL, inclusive guidance tool developed by MRC, inclusive evacuation system and early warning innovation by PB Palma, mist irrigation by Ngudi Mulya, the maggot system to reduce organic waste by FKWA, and social innovation by Sekoci.

 

In addition to showing live in Bali, YEU also organized virtual exhibitions via the Hopin Website.
